Busy Bumblebees Montessori in 2015

Well where did 2015 go? its been such a busy year and we have done lots of new and interesting things and visited some very pretty places.  The forest type activities were a great success and the children loved them, we spent lots of time looking at pond life and insects and making collages from leaves, being outside is so important in teaching the children to respect the environment they have to learn to love it first.  The physcial development aspect of this is also so important!

Language development is also really coming along at the setting with favourite nursery rhymes now known off by heart and the sandpaper letters being recited with phonic sounding out of the letters.  Counting up and down stairs has also become a favourite pastime in the setting.

Having started my Early Years foundation degree my knowledge of child development and providing a creative and stimulating setting is growing in leaps and bounds, and we have some really exciting things happening in 2016 including a new Montessori bite size nursery drop in session watch this space for further news.

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!PACEY_OCT2015_LR_086image
